In 2024, pet ownership is evenly split between younger generations (Gen Z and Millennials) and older generations (Gen X and Baby Boomers). Additionally, two-thirds of pet owners consider their pets when making financial plans, and 75% remain committed to maintaining their pet's current standard of care despite economic challenges.
